Dispute Evidence Draft Action

Node Type

Description

This node makes it easier to handle disputes and payment issues that require a response from you. Use this Action node to map fields from an original Payment Object into the fields you're required to return as part of t the disputes process. Instead of manually drafting and adding attachments to create a submission draft, we'll automatically pre-fill the fields for you, so you can more quickly and efficiently respond to dispute requests from your customers.

When to Use

Use this when you want to automate or streamline your disputes processes. This node makes it easier to respond to disputes that require you to provide Re-presentment, or evidence against a dispute submitted by a customer.

How to Use

  1. First select the which Payment Processor you want to create a draft for. Depending on the Processor you select, we'll pull all the fields they require when submitting dispute evidence
  2. Define how you want us to generate your Representment draft by mapping values from the original payment object into the configuration fields.
  3. You'll notice that the attachment fields are read only, that's because WhenThen automatically scans the attachments in the Payment to look for key-words in the title. If there's a match, those attachments will automatically be included in your Evidence Draft
  4. You can now see the draft submission when you locate the Dispute request in your list of disputes

Note: This node does not submit evidence to your Processor. Typically, you can only respond **once **to a Dispute, so we think it's important for someone to manual review the draft before it's submitted. We recommend pairing this Action node with a communications node to inform someone from your team to review and submit your dispute evidence.

Example Use Cases

When you receive a dispute notification that requires your attention (dispute trigger, event = needs response), look up the original payment and automatically generate a Dispute Evidence Draft for my team to review
